Black & White Card Class - Part 4

My final card in the Black & White series features the THOUGHTS & PRAYERS stamp set.
My initial inspiration came from my side-line, Norma, but I tweaked it to call it "my own".
Other products used:  Jet Black Stazon On Ink, Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Pearl Jewels, Scallop Trim Border Punch and Warmest Regards stamp set (retired).
Here's a close up to show you how a simple pearl can make your card pop.
I'm glad you stopped by today and I hope I've given you some ideas for some really simple yet pretty cards.  Have a great weekend and I will see you early next week!  Take time to do something good for yourself; stamp daily!

Black & White Card Class - Part 3

Thanks for joining me today as I continue my share of cards my ladies will make at my upcoming Black & White Card Class.
For this card, I used the Hello, Doily stamp set along with the Layered Labels stamp set and coordinating Apothecary Accents Framelits. Other products used:  Jet Black Stazon Ink, Pearl Jewels
If you're a Demonstrator like me, everything I buy from SU is an investment.  Therefore, I try to store my products so they will last forever.  That's why I followed another Demonstrators lead and store my Framelits on a Magnetic Strip to keep them from getting bent.
I hope you'll stop by tomorrow for my last card in this series.  Have a blessed day!

Black & White Card Class - Part 2

I'm using ELEMENTS of STYLE once again to create a wedding or anniversary card.
Other products used:  Jet Black Stazon Ink, Big Shot, Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit, Stripes Embossing Folder (used on the black heart), Full Heart Punch, Pearl Jewels, Loving Thoughts stamp set, Simply Scored Scoring Tool
Just a close up to show you more of the details on the card.
Stay tuned tomorrow for my third of four Black & White cards.
Thanks for joining me today.  I hope I have given you some inspiration to get some stampin' done!  Until next time....

Black & White Card Class - Part 1

The idea of having a Black & White card class was suggested to me by my upline, Karen.  I love the simplicity of the cards I will be sharing the next few days.

I used the ELEMENTS of STYLE stamp set on this one.  I stamped the Whisper White card stock and then ran it through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.  Other products used:  Basic Black card stock, Jet Black Stazon On Ink, Basic Black Scallop Dots Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels.
I cased this card from Katie Baldin, another SU Demonstrator, but I tweaked it to my liking.  One thing I love about being a SU Demonstrator ~ you can access Stampin' Connection and find all sorts of ideas.  If you are interested in becoming a Demonstrator and taking advantage of this month's promotion (see yesterday's post), please visit my SU Website: www.shirleybmckay.stampinup.net.
Have a great day and I hope you'll stop by again soon!

Home again, home again....tra la la la

Ronnie and I returned home a week ago yesterday from spending two weeks in Charlotte visiting our son, other family members and friends.  We had an awesome time but as usual, the time just flew by!
My post today is what I shared with my downline while there (see previous posts for other shares from that evening).  I used the EVERYTHING ELEANOR stamp set.  Stampin'Up! gave this set to all who attended Leadership in San Antonio earlier this year.  (Oh, how I love freebies!)
This card is called a "Surprise Box".  I cased it from another SU Demonstrator and instructions can be found on her November 13, 2011 post....go to FrenchieStamps.

This photo shows the card stock that I put a birthday sentiment on that fits inside the "box".
Here you can see all the pieces much better.  It really wasn't as difficult as it may look.  It's all about scoring and folding.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back tomorrow for Stampin'Up!'s August Promotion.  You won't want to miss it!
